2020 SVMA Conference Cancelled

2020 SVMA Conference Cancelled

June 9, 2020

Dear members,

The SVMA Council has decided to cancel the 2020 SVMA Conference for the health and safety of our members, guests, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and staff. This decision is supported by a growing recognition that large gatherings may still be prohibited this fall and was made at this time to minimize expenses that would occur if we were to continue planning for an in-person event.

To retain some of the continuing education (CE) opportunities offered through our conference, SVMA staff will be canvassing invited speakers to identify who may be interested in providing their presentation in the format of an interactive webinar this fall.  We will keep you updated on this initiative.

In September, Council will also host this year’s Annual General Meeting as a virtual meeting. The specific date and technical details will be provided in the coming weeks.

If you need CE credits, the SVMA’s online classroom has 23 hours of CE credit available. Courses will continue to be added as they become available. Please note that there is no minimum or maximum on the number of CE credits obtained by webinar or online courses.

The SVMA staff appreciate your understanding and patience. Please watch your e-news for further announcements.

Sincerely,

Lorraine Serhienko, RVT
Regulatory and Education Coordinator
