Twin Valley VHS is looking to hire a Full Time Registered Veterinary Technologist/Veterinarian Technician for a growing mixed animal rural practice in Saskatchewan.
In this role, the Non-Registered Veterinary Technologist/Veterinarian Technician will build positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The incumbent will also assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of the DVM.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Enrollment in a Registered Veterinary Technologist Diploma program or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, where able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Compassion for animals.
- Knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations to answer client questions and concerns.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments by the DVM.
