Prairie Livestock Veterinarians (PLV) is seeking a motivated Poultry Veterinarian to join our team in Alberta, with opportunities based in Lethbridge, Red Deer, or Camrose. This full-time position is ideal for both new graduates and experienced veterinarians interested in developing expertise in poultry medicine, flock health management, biosecurity, animal welfare, and food production.
As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will work closely with poultry producers and industry partners to provide flock health services, disease investigation and prevention, diagnostic support, on-farm consultations, welfare assessments, biosecurity programs, and producer education. The role also includes analyzing flock health and production data, supporting quality assurance programs, and contributing to industry advancement initiatives.

Candidates must hold a DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school and be a Registered Veterinarian in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan, or eligible for registration in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with an interest in poultry medicine, preventative health, biosecurity, and food animal production. Poultry or production animal experience is considered an asset.
