A Clinical Associate position is available in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), University of Saskatchewan.
This position is within the equine ambulatory field service of the Veterinary Medical Centre. They will provide on-farm primary, preventative, and emergency care to local clients and be expected to supervise and instruct undergraduate veterinary students on rotations in their final year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program, as well as Equine Practice interns and residents.
Applicants should have experience in equine ambulatory practice; our team provides mentorship for candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong potential. Teaching undergraduate veterinary students is a daily responsibility and provides an opportunity to mentor future veterinarians. The successful candidate may also contribute to other departmental teaching activities in Years 1-3 of the DVM program, including lectures, laboratories, and demonstrations.
At the time of appointment, the successful candidate must:
- Hold a DVM degree or equivalent
