2019 Practice Owner’s Economic Survey now out

November 18, 2019

The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), in association with all provincial veterinary medical associations, is pleased to offer you the 2019 Practice Owner’s Economic Survey.

A hard copy of the survey was mailed to all practices a couple of weeks ago and is conducted as part of the CVMA’s national Business Management Program (BMP); sponsored by the CVMA and the following business partners:

  • Petsecure Pet Health Insurance
  • Merck Animal Health
  • Scotiabank
  • Idexx Laboratories

Your survey information will be used to provide Canadian veterinarians with Suggested Fee Guides for Large and Small Animal Procedures, Non-DVM Wage Reports, Economic Reports and Practice Management Articles.

The Practice Owners Economic Survey can be completed and mailed with your financial statement in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided. In return for completing the survey, you will receive a complimentary and confidential Individual Practice Diagnostic Report providing you with feedback comparing your hospital production, finances and fees to similar practices in your province. You will also be entered into a draw for your choice of a $500 Visa gift card or the 2020 WSAVA / CVMA Congress in Quebec City.

If you submit your survey by:

  • October 18, 2019 your name will be entered in the draw three times
  • October 25, 2019 your name will be entered in the draw twice
  • November 1, 2019 your name will be entered in the draw once

*Once your survey is complete, email your name, email address and phone number to enterthedraw@ovma.org for your chance to win.

Your personal information will remain completely confidential. If you need a new copy of the survey you can download and print from the Business Management Program section of the CVMA website.

Thank you in advance for your commitment to the continued economic success of Canadian veterinarians.
